From In Imago to DeciAct | Decision Architecture in the Age of AI
From organizational transformation to Decision Architecture: discover the story behind In Imago, DeciAct and a twenty-year journey through leadership, governance and AI.
From In Imago to DeciAct
In Imago was created in 2017 as a space for reflection, experimentation and transformation.
For more than twenty years, I have worked alongside leaders, managers and teams facing complex organizational challenges. Across industries, technologies and transformation programs, the same question kept emerging:
How do organizations turn intention into commitment?
How do they transform decisions into meaningful action?
The rise of Artificial Intelligence did not create this challenge. It revealed it more clearly.
Organizations now have access to more data, more tools and more analytical power than ever before. Yet decisions often remain fragmented, responsibilities unclear and execution difficult.
This observation led to the creation of DeciAct.
DeciAct extends the work initiated through In Imago by focusing on Decision Architecture: the structures, governance mechanisms and responsibilities that connect strategy, data, AI and action.
Today, my work focuses on helping organizations make decisions more visible, more accountable and more actionable in the age of AI.
Why Imago?
First of all, a personal journey that began during my Executive Master in 2004, where I explored the idea that no transformation is possible without a transformation in the posture of the person leading the change.
Then came a professional journey through project management, change management, Lean Management, Agile transformation, organizational transformation and, later, digital transformation.
The name Imago was also inspired by The Flight of the Imago by Norbert Terrettaz. In this book, the author explores our relationship with ourselves and with others in a world where information travels instantly, scientific discoveries constantly expand our horizons, yet the art of communicating and understanding one another remains a challenge.
Finally, there is the butterfly metaphor. Imago is the final stage of transformation from larva to butterfly. Becoming a butterfly requires leaving the comfort of the cocoon, embracing uncertainty and finding the courage to express one’s true potential, sometimes in the face of adversity.
Over time, a new question emerged through every transformation programme, regardless of the industry, technology or organizational model involved:
How do organizations transform decisions into commitment and action?
This question became increasingly important with the rise of data, Artificial Intelligence and complex governance challenges.
It eventually led to the creation of DeciAct, a natural extension of the journey initiated through In Imago.
Today, DeciAct focuses on Decision Architecture: helping organizations connect intention, governance, responsibility and action in the age of AI.
In Imago and the DeciAct Journey
The In Imago Blog
Through its articles and research, In Imago explores how organizations evolve in a world shaped by complexity, data and Artificial Intelligence.
The blog shares insights drawn from more than twenty years of experience supporting leaders, managers and teams through large-scale transformations.
Rather than promoting methods or frameworks, the objective is to explore the deeper questions that shape organizations:
- How do people make decisions?
- How does governance influence execution?
- How can organizations transform intention into action?
- What changes when Artificial Intelligence becomes part of the decision-making landscape?
The content is structured around three complementary perspectives:
MAGO – Meaning and Intent
Exploring personal awareness, motivation, purpose and the intentions behind decisions.
INTENSIO – Teams and Alignment
Understanding collaboration, accountability, trust and collective engagement.
EXTENSIO – Organizations and Governance
Designing structures, governance mechanisms and decision architectures that enable sustainable transformation.
From In Imago to DeciAct
Over the years, a recurring observation emerged across industries, technologies and transformation programs.
Organizations rarely fail because they lack ideas, data or technology.
They struggle when decisions become unclear, fragmented, delayed or disconnected from execution.
The rise of Artificial Intelligence has amplified this challenge.
More information is available than ever before, yet many organizations find it increasingly difficult to align strategy, responsibility and action.
This observation led to the creation of DeciAct.
DeciAct extends the work initiated through In Imago by focusing on Decision Architecture: the structures, governance mechanisms and responsibilities that connect strategy, data, AI and execution.
How We Work
Our approach combines organizational transformation, governance design, AI adoption and decision-making improvement.
We help leaders and organizations:
- Clarify strategic intent
- Strengthen governance and accountability
- Improve decision-making processes
- Align Product, Data and AI initiatives
- Transform decisions into measurable action
The objective is not simply to manage change.
The objective is to create the conditions in which decisions become visible, accountable and actionable.
This is the foundation of sustainable transformation in the age of AI.
